Take Differences of Opinion (without feeling rejected): As those with higher self-esteem are stronger in their self-opinion, they’re not as affected by other people’s opinions or judgements which may be directed toward them.

Laugh at Their Situation (without self-ridicule): The ability to laugh at yourself, your misgivings, your short-fallings, your mistakes is a sign of high self-esteem. These people don’t trivialize themselves; they just appreciate that there is no point dramatizing themselves.

Express Opinions, Even if Controversial: Ability to have a level of certainty within themselves so when they put forward their own opinion they are confident with their perspective. This manifests in meetings and in the way that people respond in teams where they have the confidence to say what they are thinking.

Enjoy Being Alone, Without Loneliness: Being comfortable with your own company is a symptom of high self-esteem. You don’t have to even be doing anything, just sitting can be enough.

Appreciate Others’ Opinions and Achievements (without jealousy): When a person can rejoice in other people’s success it is a reflection of their high self-esteem and how they feel comfortable within themselves.
